Nutritional Benefits
Daily supplementation of macro minerals is crucial to replace minerals used in milk production – putting back what we take out. It is also critical for optimum rumen functioning and cow health.
Monensin® has proven benefits in increased production, bloat control, reduced ketosis, and control of Coccidiosis.
Trace minerals and vitamins are required for higher-production cows.
Max Mineral Standard with Cowmin5™ plus Monensin® offers standard macro minerals plus five trace minerals (copper, cobalt, selenium, iodine and zinc).
It now also includes Zinpro AvailaZn, a highly bioavailable organic zinc source that supports hoof integrity, skin and udder health, immune function, and overall performance by improving absorption and utilisation.
Phibro Monensin ® is a registered product under the ACVM Act 1997, A9107.

Feed storage on farm
As with any grain or meal feed, products need to be kept dry, as moisture combined with heat can cause fungi to grow. Common on-farm storage methods are: in a shed or unused fertiliser bin; in a covered pit; on a concrete pad; or in a cutting, covered with a plastic sheet and tyres. Most feed should be used reasonably expediently (within 40 - 50 days). The longer you plan to store feed products, the better your storage facilities need to be.
