Volac Blossom EasyMix is a tried and trusted performer for feeding calves made from Immunopro® and packed with Gardion® nutrients.
Feeding Recommendations
After colostrum is completed, feed Blossom Easymix until weaning. It is ideal for robotic calf feeders, twice-a-day, once-a-day, and ad lib feedings. Mix 150g Blossom with 850 ml water for 1 litre of milk replacer.
The recommended feeding rate is 750g to 900g of Blossom EasyMix per day. A growth rate of up to 900g per day can be achieved with a feeding rate of 900g EasyMix per day.

Nutritional Benefits
Concentrated Milk Protein (CMP) contains a high proportion of ‘true’ protein and has an amino acid balance closely matching the calf’s requirements. Essential calcium and phosphorous without high levels of less desirable minerals.
Processed under strictly controlled temperature conditions. The integrity of the protein is retained, and digestibility is high. Biologically important globular proteins (immunoglobulins) are retained in the powder.
Carefully researched blend of fat/oil.
Co-spray drying of the liquid oil allows excellent emulsification and homogenisation.
High Vitamin E and Selenium levels. These support the calf’s immune system and antioxidant status.
Finished milk replacers are mildly acidified and also contain Gardion.
Ensures excellent mixing characteristics.
Double Pasteurisation, destroys most of the bacteria which can be present in whole milk.

Cattle Feed Storage on Farm
As with any grain or meal feed products need to be kept dry as moisture combined with heat can cause fungi to grow. Common on farm storage methods are: in a shed or unused fertiliser bin; in a covered pit; on a concrete pad; or in a cutting, covered with plastic sheet and tyres. Most feed should be used reasonably expediently (within 40 - 50 days). The longer you plan to store feed products the better your storage facilities need to be.
